Why AquaDart Performs Better
The AquaDart offers five times less frontal surface area than a cannonball sinker of the same weight. The unique features of the weight include:

Double-loop connector for greater versatility and simplicity allowing rig attachment directly to the weight for drift fishing and trolling.

How It Started
The idea behind the AquaDart started when fishing for halibut on a trip to the Faroe Islands. The lateral drag forces acting on the sides of the traditional weights required very heavy sinkers to maintain depth during fast drifts in deep water.
AquaDart solves this problem by always presenting its front aspect to the direction of motion. During the drift, the AquaDart has at least five times less cross-sectional area than the drift forward aspect of the best conventional sinker for any given weight.
Prototypes of the AquaDart were extensively tested in the Atlantic waters off the west of Ireland before being put into production.
Some Unique Features
The primary loop connector sits above the sinker’s center of gravity and is angled to reduce drag from the snap-link swivel. It also allows the sinker to be used in a running-ledger setup.

When fishing over rough seabeds, AquaDart™’s natural tipping action helps reduce snag loss. This can be improved even further with breakaway attachments, allowing the sinker to be retrieved safely using the secondary loop connector.
